She married James Leroy Hudson, Dec 31 1919, Topeka, Kansas.1,2  James was born Dec 22 1894, Castle Rock, Douglas County, Colorado.1,5,6,8  

James was a World War I veteran.6  On Jun 5 1917 James LeRoy Hudson, age 22, had registered for the World War I draft in Chase County, Kansas.  He declared he was born Dec 22 1894 in Castle Rock, Colorado, and was then residing in Hymer, Kansas where he was single and a farmer employed by S.R. Stauffer of Hymer, Kansas.  He claimed an exemption due to "farmer".  He was recorded as medium build, slender, blue eyes, brown hair.8  

James was the local rural mailman.1
