Born Aug 29 1888, Pond Grove (now Valley Rd. off Reynolda Rd.), Forsyth County, North Carolina.1,2,3,4,5  

Mabel graduated from high school in 1906 (10 grades) and from Salem College in 1908.6  At Salem College she was the Vice-President of the Class of '08.7  

The following article was published in the "Laurensville Herald" (Laurensville, South Carolina) on August 20, 1920:8

MISS MABELL HINSHAW of Winston Salem, is the guest of her sister, MRS. B.M. WOLFF, West Main St.

In 1926 Mabel was still living in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.9  

She married Joseph Scott Blackwell, Jun 28 1930.1  Joseph was born Jul 28 1888, Pine Hall, North Carolina.1,10  

Joseph died Dec 2 1965, Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina.1,10  

Mabel Lee Hinshaw died Sep 20 1973, Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina; age 85.2,11
