Max's obituary was published as follows:2

Mr. Max Hinshaw, age 74, of the Monroe Community of Overton County passed away December 20, 2012 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN.  

He was born August 18, 1938 in Arcadia, Indiana to the late H. Ross and Nellie G. Goff Hinshaw.  He was a correctional officer with the Overton County Sheriff's Office.  

He is survived by his wife, Edith Hinson of Monroe; sons & daughters-in-law, Ross & Shelia Hinshaw of Anderson, IN and Dan & Libby Hinshaw of Arcadia, IN; daughter & son-in-law, Anette & Norman Clark of Celina; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and brothers & sisters-in-law, Dale & Shirley Hinshaw and Reece & Darlene Hinshaw, all of Indiana.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Don and Jerry Hinshaw, and a granddaughter: Branna Hinshaw.
