Virginia finished high school in 1953 in Frankfort, Indiana. She then spent three years at the Pentecostal Bible School of Theology at Tupelo, Mississippi.³

She married Bobby Ray Cottongin, Jul 29 1955, Kinder, Allen Parish, Louisiana.^2,3 Bobby, son of Berton Bennie Cottongin & Virgie Victoria Baggett, was born Jun 10 1934, LeBlanc, Iberville Parish, Louisiana.^3,5,6,7,8

Bobby attended two years at the Pentecostal Bible Institute in Tupelo. Virginia and Bobby worked a year at the Tupelo Children's Mission orphanage.³

Virginia worked as an operator for Southern Bell Co., and as a matron for the Tupelo Children's Mansion; she also worked as ward secretary at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was an Avon rep for over 45 years. She is a devout christian who followed her mother's beliefs in the Pentecostal Faith.²

Virginia and Bobby were shown in the 1957 city directory of Lake Charles, Louisiana:¹⁰
