Born Oct 25 1942, Pittsboro, Hendricks County, Indiana.¹  

In 1960 Steven graduated from Pittsboro High School, Pittsboro, Indiana.  He later joined the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1988.  

He married Carolyn Mary Sampson, Oct 22 1964.^1,2  Carolyn was born Oct 22 1942.¹  This was Carolyn's second marriage.¹  

As of 1989 Steven was the head maintenance man for McDonald's in San Antonio, Texas, where he had last served with the Air Force.¹
