On Aug 25 1944 Charles B. Grimes, born 1919 in North Carolina, enlisted at Fort Bragg, North Carolina as a private in the U.S. Army.  He declared he had four years of high school, was married, and occupied as a locomotive fireman.16  

Charles died Mar 21 1982, Lexington Memorial Hospital, Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina; age 62.10,12,17  

CB's obituary was published in the "Greensboro Daily News" (Greensboro, North Carolina) on Tuesday, March 23, 1982:10

RAMSEUR - C. B. 'Buck" Grimes, 62, of Ramseur died Sunday at Lexington Memorial Hospital.  

Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at First Christian Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Adrian Pugh and The Rev. Justice McKeel officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Knoll Cemetery.  

He was a retired engineer of Lansom Diebold Co., in Syracuse, N.Y., a World War II Army veteran.  

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Alses Grimes, son, David Grimes of Ramseur, daughter, Mrs. Sue Weston of Greensboro; mother, Mrs. Sue Grimes of Ramseur, sisters, Mrs. June Beane and Mrs. Howard Grady of Ramseur, two grandchildren.

In 1998-2013 Alese was living in Ramseur, North Carolina.2,3,4,18

Alese Hinshaw Grimes, 89, of 510 Columbia Avenue, Ramseur, died Monday, March 3, 2014 at WhiteStone in Greensboro.  

Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Holly Spring Friends Meeting, Ramseur.  

Officiating, Rev. Todd Brown.  

Burial, Sunset Knoll Cemetery, Ramseur.  

Alese was a native of Randolph County, retired from Tie Rite, and a member of First Baptist Church in Ramseur.  She grew up attending Holly Spring Friends Meeting and always had a special love in her heart for Holly Spring Friends Meeting.  She was preceded in death by husband, Charles B. "C. B." Grimes, son, David L. Grimes, parents, Carl and Fleta Allen Hinshaw, and step mother, Hazel S. Hinshaw.  

Survivors: daughter, Sue Grimes Weston, of Greensboro, daughter-in-law, Diane Grimes, of Ramseur, sister, Eleanor Gunter, of Asheboro, brother, Paul Hinshaw, and wife, Gladys, of Asheboro, grandchildren, Sally Kenyon, and husband, Greg, of Coleridge, Tammy Pugh, and husband, Jason, of Ramseur, Jared Weston, of Greensboro, great grandchildren, Branson Kenyon, Emily Kenyon, Seth Kenyon, all of Coleridge, Molly Kenyon, Todd Garren, both of Asheboro, Ally Tupper, Jacson Pugh, both of Ramseur, great great grandchild, Kainan Hunt, of Asheboro, special little friend, Karleigh.  

Visitation, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, Loflin Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ramseur, and other times at the home of Sally & Greg Kenyon, 5469 Doc Hayworth Rd., Ramseur.
