William somehow changed from Hinshaw to Henshaw. According to family folklore "they forgot to dot the i".1
He married Charlotte Evelyn McCain, Nov 4 1940, Claremore, Rogers County, Oklahoma.1 Charlotte, daughter of Hue + Rena McCain, was born Feb 21 1922, Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma.1,3,4,5
Charlotte had attended Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.6
William and Charlotte were apparently divorced. Charlotte remarried to Rex L. Sikkink.3,4 Charlotte died Oct 28 2006, Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma; buried Floral Haven Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma.1,3
He then married Norma Lee Sasseen, about 1949.1
William was a member of the Masonic Lodge.1 He owned "Henshaw Compressor and Engine", a business which is currently (1998) run by son William Lee Jr.1
In 1994 William was living in Bristow, Creek County, Oklahoma.3
William Lee Henshaw died Apr 22 1994, buried Bristow, Creek County, Oklahoma.1,3 A short death notice appeared in "Tulsa World" April 23, 1994:7
