William somehow changed from Hinshaw to Henshaw.  According to family folklore "they forgot to dot the i".¹  

He married Charlotte Evelyn McCain, Nov 4 1940, Claremore, Rogers County, Oklahoma.¹  Charlotte, daughter of Hue + Rena McCain, was born Feb 21 1922, Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma.^1,3,4,5  

Charlotte had attended Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.⁶  

William and Charlotte were apparently divorced.  Charlotte remarried to Rex L. Sikkink.^3,4  Charlotte died Oct 28 2006, Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma; buried Floral Haven Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma.^1,3  

He then married Norma Lee Sasseen, about 1949.¹  

William was a member of the Masonic Lodge.¹  He owned "Henshaw Compressor and Engine", a business which is currently (1998) run by son William Lee Jr.¹

In 1994 William was living in Bristow, Creek County, Oklahoma.³  

William Lee Henshaw died Apr 22 1994, buried Bristow, Creek County, Oklahoma.^1,3  A short death notice appeared in "Tulsa World" April 23, 1994:⁷

BRISTOW William Henshaw, 73, business owner, died Friday.  Services pending.
