He married Mary Morgan3,4,5,6 [Mary I. Morgan7, Polly Morgan3,5], Feb 3 18463,4,5,6, Cass County, Missouri3,4,5,6.  Mary was born about 18318,9,10 [about 182111], Missouri8,9,10.  

On Nov 1 1848 Thomas purchased 40 acres of land in Cass County, Missouri.12  He was described in this record as "Thomas Hinshaw of Van Buren County, Missouri".12  (Van Buren County was renamed to Cass County in 1849).12  About this same time, father Benjamin and brother Nathan also purchased land in Cass County, Missouri.12  

Thomas Hinshaw died Feb 6 1847, age 26 years, 1 month, 27 days.1,2,13,14  Thomas died during a cholera epidemic.15  Thomas is buried next to his father and mother in Rheems Cemetery.14  

Thomas died intestate.  On Jan 1 1848 Thomas's estate was probated, with named estate administrators Levi J. Shelton, Elias Shelton, and John Gray.16  

Mary (Polly) remarried to Levi J. Shelton, Dec 19 1847, Cass County, Missouri.3,5  Levi was born 1820 in North Carolina.7,8,11  

Note that Thomas' sister Matilda Jane also married an Elias Shelton in Cass County, Missouri in 1856.

Levi (presumably with Polly and children) settled in Oregon, arriving there Sep 18 1852.7

M.J. Shelton, female, age 6 months, born in Oregon.

Levi J. Shelton died Jul 27 1861, Polk County, Oregon.7,17,18  Levi committed suicide.17  

Mary (Polly) remarried to John Frederick Syron, May 14 1863, Polk County, Oregon19 (1862),20 with whom she had children John/Mack Syron (1864-1925),9,10,21 Jackson/Jack C. Syron (c1867),9,10 and Irazina/Zina Syron (1871-1950).10,21,22  John Frederick Syron was born Mar 28 1827, New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.19

Syron, Polly, wife, age 49, born in Missouri; father born in Tennessee; keeping house.
Syron, John McL, son, age 16, born in Oregon; father born in Ohio; mother born in Missouri; attended school.
Syron, Jack C, son, age 13, born in Oregon; father born in Ohio; mother born in Missouri; attended school.
Syron, Irazina, daughter, age 8, born in Oregon; father born in Ohio; mother born in Missouri; attended school.
Syron, James R, father, age 89, born in New York; widower.

Mary died 1890, buried Pleasant Hill Pioneer Cemetery, Sheridan, Polk County, Oregon.20,21  

John Frederick Syron died Jan 7 1912, Sheridan, Polk County, Oregon.19
