On Jun 5 1918 David Guy Henshaw, age 24 [unclear], registered for the World War I draft in Creek County, Oklahoma. He declared he was born February 5 1894 in Enid, Oklahoma, and he was then residing in Bristow, Oklahoma where he was single and self-employed. He declared his father was born in Indiana. He declared his nearest relative was Dr. F.A. Henshaw of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was recorded as tall, brown eyes, dark hair. He claimed an exemption because "was discharged from army account of rupture etc."5
