W. H. HINSHAW WENT TO HIS REWARD
This community was shocked last saturday evening when the telegram from Mr. O. G. Hinshaw came announcing the death of his father, Mr. W. H. Hinshaw at 1:30 that afternoon at Long Beach, California. The message stated that he died suddenly and that the funeral would be held Tuesday at Long Beach.
The deceased had large interests of real estate here. For several years the family has been spending the winters in Cailifornia. Mr. Hinshaw was an invalid for several years. It was necessary for him to be wheeled about in a chair. But in spite of his ailment he was always cheerful and looking on the bright side of life. He was a man who did a great deal in building up the community. He was one of the early settlers and one of the few who stayed when nearly all left the country during the hard and trying times in those early days. His death will leave a big gap unfilled, as scores of men in the community always sought his counsel and advice. He was a man of those conservative habits that made him safe in business affairs.
Elizabeth died Jan 17 1930, Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California.9
On March 11, 1947, William's remains were placed into Vault 1615, Tier B, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, joining those of his wife, Elizabeth, who had been moved to Vault 1615, Tier A, on January 20, 1943, presumably by their daughter, Fairy Green Heylmun.9
