Helen Hinshaw Toohey, 97, passed away August 30, 1999, in Princeton, NJ.  Donations in her memory may be made to Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist, or The Principle Foundation.  

Mrs. Toohey was born in Kansas City, MO.  She graduated from Van Horn Elementary School, Westport High School, Lasell Junior College, Auburndale, MA, and Leland Powers Institute, Boston, MA.  She was a member of Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist, English Speaking Union, Women's City Club, the Melrose Book Club, and was a director of The Principle Foundation.  Mrs. Toohey was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, until 1990.  She is survived by her sisters, Virginia Wilks, Delray Beach, FL, & Dorothy Walker, Kingsland, TX; children, Barbara T. Smith, Rockville, MD, & William H. Toohey, Basking Ridge, NJ; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
