Born Dec 17 1889, Bulls Gap, Hawkins County, Tennessee.1,2,3,4  (Dec - 1890).5  

He married Gertrude Watts.1  Gertrude was born about 1889, Tennessee.2,3  

On Jun 5 1917 Jessee Calvin Hinshaw, age 27, registered for the World War I draft in Hawkins County, Tennessee.  He declared he was born December 17th 1899 in Bulls Gap, Tennessee, and was then residing on "Rout 2", Bulls Gap where he was a self-employed farmer with a wife and two children.  He claimed an exemption due to "dependent wife & 2 children".  He was recorded as medium height, stout, gray eyes, dark hair.4
