ST. PETERSBURG, FL - Lucille Hinshaw Smith, age 84, St. Petersburg, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, following an extended illness.   She was formerly of Rogersville, and had resided in St. Petersburg for the past 40 years.  She was a faithful member of St. Luke's Methodist Church, St. Petersburg.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert N. Hinshaw and Dana Hinshaw; and step-mother, Frances J. Hinshaw.   She is survived by her husband, Harry D. Smith of the home; a brother, Charles F. Hinshaw and wife Mary, Rogersville; a nephew, Nathan Hinshaw, Nashville; two nieces, Janice Morgan, Rogersville, and Cynthia Smith and husband Don of Michigan; a great-niece, Lora Beth Hughes; four great-nephews, Eric Hughes, Devon Smith, Andrew Morgan and Alex Morgan; and a great-great-nephew and niece, Brayden and Anna Manley.   Funeral services were held Sunday, March 10, 2002, in the Broome Funeral Home Chapel, Rogersville, with Rev. Carl Jones officiating.  Burial followed in the Kite Cemetery.   A memorial service was held at her church in St. Petersburg on Sunday, March 10, 2002.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL - Harry D. Smith Jr., age 88, St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Findley, OH, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at Northside Hospital, St. Petersburg, following an extended illness.   He was retired from the military and resided in St. Petersburg for the past 40 years.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hinshaw Smith; parents, Harry D. and Nellie Fisk Smith; brother, Richard Smith.   He is survived by a sister, Thelma Elsea; four nieces, Judy Elsea and Marilyn Elsea, Findley, Cynthia Smith and husband Don of Michigan, Janice Morgan, Rogersville; a brother-in-law, Charles Hinshaw and wife Mary, Rogersville; nephew, Nathan Hinshaw, Nashville; a great-niece; four great-nephews; two great-great-nieces and one great-great-nephew.   Graveside services were held Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, in Kite Cemetery with Rev. Carl Jones officiating.   Arrangements were under direction of Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
