Born about 1817, Virginia.1,3  

About 1834 Warner settled in Perry County, Alabama, near the town of Woodville (now Uniontown).4  

He married Rachel E. Roark, Jul 2 1846, Dallas County, Alabama.3,4,5  Rachel, daughter of Jesse Roark & Nancy Ann Morris, was born about 1825, Alabama.1,3  (c1831).2  

Warner's marriage license was recorded in Dallas County, Alabama Marriage Book A, page 33:5

The State of Alabama Dallas County to any Licensed Minister of the Gospel Judge of the Circuit or County Court or Justice of the Peace of said county.  You are hereby authorized to celebrate the Rites of Marriage between W. L. Hanshaw and Miss Rachel Roark and join them together in the Holy Bonds of Matrimony and for so doing this shall be your sufficient warrant given under my hand at office the 29th day of June 1846
