He married Jane Campbell, Jun 8 1846, Williamson County, Illinois.b,c,a,h    (Genette Jane Tanner)i    (Jane Tanner)i,e    Daughter Mary Ann's death certificate, showing information provided by one of Mary Ann's daughters, shows her mother's name was Jane Campbell.h    Hugh's marriage record in Williamson County, Illinois also shows her as Jane Campbell.b,c
Jane was born Feb 9 1820, Tennessee.f,i    (Feb - 1813, Tennessee).j
Hugh and family were shown in the 1850 census, Williamson County, Illinois:e

Hugh Henshaw donated the land for what became known as Henshaw School #74 in Section 14 of Stonefort Township, which Hugh had entered in 1854.l
Hugh Hinshaw died Jan 31 1898, buried in the Henshaw Cemetery, near Stonefort, Williamson County, Illinois.d,f,m

Remember friends as you pass by, as you are now so once was I, as I am now so you must be, prepare for death and follow me.
Jane's will was written on Nov 18 1899 and probated Oct 5 1904 (Williamson County, Illinois, Will Book C, page 48).n    In her will Jane listed her surviving children William Henry Henshaw, Mary Ann Henshaw Keel, and Eliza Jane Henshaw Parsons.n    She also listed as deceased children: Anderson Corder Henshaw and James Milo Henshaw.    Anderson and James had surviving children, who Jane did not mention by name but did leave these grandchildren a small monetary amount.n
