On Sep 12 1918 Floyd Edgar Hanshaw, age 19, registered for the World War I draft in Spokane, Washington. He declared he was born December 30 1898, and was then residing in Spokane, Washington where he was an "acid man" employed by Inland Empire Paper Mill of Spokane. He declared his nearest relative was Charles M. Hanshaw of Spokane. He was recorded as medium height, medium build, blue eyes, light brown hair.5
