Eunice Hanshew McCubbin, 97, of Modesto died Saturday at Garden City Healthcare.
Mrs. McCubbin was a native of Arkansas and lived in Modesto 55 years. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting and needlework.
She is survived by her children, George McCubbin of San Ysidro, James McCubbin of Bakersfield, and Ann Maher, Beatrice Yates and Karen Long, all of Modesto; brothers, Arthur Hanshew of Fresno, and Woodrow Hanshew and Cecil Hanshew, both of Florida; sister, Violet Evan of Missouri; and 14grandchildren [sic], 27 greatgrandchildren and 18 greatgreat-grandchildren. [sic]. She was preceded in death by her husband, George McCubbin Sr.; and children, Inez Thomas and Bernice Cox.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. today at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Lakewood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
