Ruby died Jan 6 1920, Henshaw, Union County, Kentucky; age 36.^1,2,4,5,11 Death certificate #2522.⁴ Medical: Ruby died from "athsma + lagrippe" (asthma and influenza), "followed with hemmorage of the lungs after severe coughing".⁴ These were most likely complications of childbirth, as daughter Ruby was born just the day before.

Widower William and family were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 20 1920), living in the household of Ruby's parents in Union County, Kentucky:⁶
