In 1999 Charles was residing in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.1  

Norma died Feb 16 2010, Chateau Girardeau Health Center, Cape Girardeau, Cape Girardeau County, Missouri; age 86.9,11,12

Norma Henshaw, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.  

She was born Sept. 22, 1923, in Lilbourn, Mo., daughter of Emerson B. and Edna R. Horn.  She and Charles Arthur Henshaw were married Aug. 1, 1944, at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss.  

Norma was an executive assistant for the Federal Housing Department of Human Services.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine of Jerusalem and VFW Auxiliary.  

Survivors include her husband, Charles A. Henshaw; two daughters, Rita L. Randoll and Charlene A. Myers of California; a granddaughter, Randee Randoll; a sister, Helen Gilbert; a great-granddaughter; and two loving nephews.  

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.  

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Kabo officiating. Interment will be in Cape County Memorial Park.  

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Charles Arthur Henshaw, 93, of Cape Girardeau, MO, died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Chateau Girardeau Health Center

He was born October 7, 1919 in Equality, IL to John Isaac and Essie F. Gold Henshaw.  

Charles graduated from Chaffee High School.  He entered the military National Guard service May 1939 and was inducted into federal service with the 140th Infantry Band at Chaffee on Dec. 22, 1940.  

Mr. Henshaw served in the European and Pacific Theaters during WW II.  He served in the Army Air Force and graduated from flying school in March 1943.  He also flew with the Navy after graduating from Navy flying school in 1944 and wears both wings.  Charles served as an Air Sea Rescue officer in the South Pacific and retired from the Air Force in 1979 as a Major.  

He was retired from the FAA as a supervisory air traffic control specialist in 1980 after 40 years of military service.  

Charles married Norma K. Horn August 1, 1944 at Keesler AFB, Biloxi, Mississippi.  They were married 65 years.  She died Feb. 16, 2010.  

Charles was a member of St. Marks Lodge # 93, 32nd York Rite Mason, was Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Past Watchman of Shepherds of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, Amaranth # 14, Cape Girardeau Commandery, Moolah Temple.  He also was a member of the National Sojourners, the retired Officers Association, Reserve Officers Association, Air Rescue Association, PBY International Association and a life member of V.F.W. Post 3838 and American Legion Post # 63.  

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a member of N.A.R.F.E.  

Survivors include

Daughters - Rita L. Randoll, Placerville, CA & Charlene A. Myers, Newport Beach, CA; Granddaughter - Randee Randoll, San Jose, CA; Great Granddaughter - Cailyn Randoll and his loving nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel with a Masonic service at 7:00 PM.  

Funeral will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel with the Rev. Bill Vincent officiating.  

Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery with Full Military Honors by the Missouri Honors Team.  

Memorial contributions may be given to Shriners Hospitals For Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd.Saint Louis, MO 63131.
