Ethel Elizabeth Hinshaw
Ethel Elizabeth Hinshaw died Sept. 5, 2000, at age 81. A memorial service will be held later.
Mrs. Hinshaw was born July 19, 1919, in Paola, Kan. Her maiden name was Grother. She moved to Oregon in 1956 and in 1960 settled in Burns, where she and her husband published the Burns Times-Herald, a weekly newspaper, for about 15 years before retiring in the mid-1970s. She was a member of Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Burns. She lived in Forest Grove for the past six years. In 1944, she married Dwight Hinshaw; he died in 1994.
Survivors include her daughters, Sara D. Hinshaw, Julie D. Mason, Nancy J. Pearson and Katherine A. Hinshaw; son, Joel D.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
