He married Elizabeth Barnhart.1,10  Elizabeth, daughter of - + Sarah Barnhart, was born about 1828, Virginia.1,10  

Elizabeth had been previously married May 23 1849 to Lawrence Lane, by whom she had children Frederick A. Lane and Sarah A. Lane.10
