Frances Hinshaw McNeill Frances Marian Hinshaw McNeill, 104, of Morgantown, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Morgan Manor Convalescent Center.
She was born Aug. 7, 1896, in Morgantown, daughter of the late Burgess and Mary Jane Holland Hinshaw.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church of Morgantown since 1919 where she served on the Stewardess Board for many years. She was also a member of the Homemakers Club of Monongalia County and the Monongalia County Senior Citizens.
She is survived by a son, Robert McNeill, of Morgantown and Washington, D.C.; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Harvey McNeill; a daughter, Helen Ferguson; and three sons, Ernest Harvey McNeill Jr., Charles B. McNeill and Russell L. McNeill.
Friends may call at Dering's Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and at St. Paul A.M.E. Church from 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, until the 11 a.m. service, with the Rev. Angela Walker officiating. Burial will be in East Oak Grove Cemetery. Donations: St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 61 Beechurst Ave., Morgantown, WV 26505; or In Touch and Concerned, 364 High St., Morgantown, WV 26505.
