November 1, 1930 - September 30, 2014Harold W. "Hal" Henshaw, Jr., 83, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at MS Baptist Medical Center, Jackson.
Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00am, Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Memorial services will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with interment in Sinai Cemetery, Florence.
He was born Saturday, November 1, 1930 in Worcester, MA, a son of the late Harold W. Henshaw, Sr. and Loretta Lahaire Henshaw. Mr. Henshaw retired as Chief Warrant Officer from the U.S. Army where he served in the Vietnam War and retired as a medical clerk from the V.A. Medical Center of Jackson. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion and a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. He resided for some years in Hot Springs, AR where he enjoyed volunteer work with the Lions Club and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wendy Henshaw, and step-daughter, Ann Pickler.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Lois Henshaw; son, Marc Henshaw (Marty); step-children, Pat Ard (James), Linda Byrd, Kenneth Byrd (Donna) and Collie Howard (Larry); grandchildren, Tyler and Taylor Henshaw, and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

November 25, 1927 - May 24, 2015Mildred "Lois" Henshaw, 87, passed Sunday, May 24, 2015 after a brief illness at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland.
Visitation will be held 10:00am-12:00pm, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Graveside services will follow at 12:30pm in the Sinai Cemetery in Florence.
She was born Friday, November 25, 1927 in Jackson, a daughter of the late Willis Gentry Long and Mildred Thomas Long.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Samuel David Byrd in 1956, James Emmett Adams in 1974 and Harold W. Henshaw in 2014; daughters, Nancy Byrd in 1954 and Olivia Ann Adams Pickler in 2014; and brother, James Willis "Carroll" Long in 1980.
She is survived by children, Pat Ard (James) of Flowood, Linda Kay Byrd of Flowood, Kenneth L. Byrd (Donna) of Ridgeland, Collie Howard (Larry) of Madison and Marc Henshaw (Marty) of Brandon; brother, Donald C. Long (Bobbie) of Pearl; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Henshaw was formerly employed by the City of Jackson Police Department as a crossing guard for Forest Hill High School. She was also employed with several women's clothing stores in the Jackson area where she enjoyed assisting clients, and did some modeling.
Mom, Pops and Linda Kay enjoyed spending time between their homes in Ridgeland and Hot Springs Village, AR. They were very active in the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Lions Club, along with volunteering at St. Joseph Memorial in Hot Springs.
The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Houge and associates with Premiere Medical Clinic, Dr. Alex Haick and associates with Surgical Clinic Associates, along with the excellent staff of Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, SICU and 5 North, and Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland. Better care could not have been had during her recent illness.
