He married ---.    James married when young (name of first wife unknown)^d and lived in Memphis.^d    He later moved to Alabama.^d    He was widowed before 1900.^a,b

On Aug 2 1890 a James T. Hinshaw acquired 80.3 acres of land in Alabama via homestead (Huntsville land office).^h    It is not known if this record refers to this James T. Henshaw, as there were several others with the same name (see: James T. Hinshaw #3476).    However it is known that this James T. Henshaw did indeed own 80 acres in Jackson County, Alabama.^d
