He married Margaret Caroline Moore, Jul 16 1864, Lawrence County, Ohio.2,3,8,11,12,13,14,15  Margaret, daughter of Lewis Moore & Delila Boyles, was born Jun - 1843, Grayson County, Virginia.2,3,9,16,17,18  (c1846, North Carolina).4  

Note that Richard's brother George married Caroline's sister, Malinda C. Moore.2
