This Thomas is the head of the Henshaw family pedigreed in the Herald's Visitation of Cheshire in 1663. It is recorded at the College of Arms in London as C38-44b (Chesshire 1663) "A six generation pedigree of Henshaw of Henshaw, headed by Thomas Henshaw of Henshaw".3
The arms depicted are "Argent a chevron between three birds Sable beaked and legged Gules".3
The "Thornycroft of Thornycroft and Henshaw of Henshaw" pedigree shows the arms as "Argent, a chevron Sable, between three moor-hens close, Gules. Crest. A falcon belled, with wings elevated, preying on a wing Argent, guttee du sang".2
He married - Bowyer. "Daughter of William Bowyer of Knypersley, co. Stafford".1 Another recorded pedigree shows Thomas' wife as unknown, and this Bower is shown as the wife of Thomas' son Edward! Can't tell which is correct.2
