At Hopewell Friends MM on 9 Mo. 7, 1778, Ann (Dun) Handsher was disowned for her marriage contrary to discipline.a    William was also disowned at Hopewell in 1792.c
William apparently died about 1794, as his estate was appraised May 6, 1794 in Frederick County, Virginia.c    William left 110 acres of land to his children.c
On Nov 20 1824, "Ann Hancher widow and relict of William Hansher dec'd." was mentioned in the property sale indenture of that date which sold her son John's 1/10 undivided interest in the 110 acres left to his children by William.c
Ann's estate was appraised Oct 17 1825.c
