Born Frederick County, Virginia.⁷⁸

He married Ann Dunn.^a,78    Ann, daughter of William + Jane Dunn, was born about 1756, probably Chester County, Pennsylvania.^b

At Hopewell Friends MM on 9 Mo. 7, 1778, Ann (Dun) Handsher was disowned for her marriage contrary to discipline.^a    William was also disowned at Hopewell in 1792.^c

William apparently died about 1794, as his estate was appraised May 6, 1794 in Frederick County, Virginia.^c    William left 110 acres of land to his children.^c

On Nov 20 1824, "Ann Hancher widow and relict of William Hansher dec'd." was mentioned in the property sale indenture of that date which sold her son John's 1/10 undivided interest in the 110 acres left to his children by William.^c

Ann's estate was appraised Oct 17 1825.^c
