On Sep 18 1918 Hiram Perrigo, age 36, had registered for the World War I draft in Gove, Gove County, Kansas.  He declared he was born Dec 6 1882, and was then residing in Gurnell [unclear], Gove County, Kansas, occupied as a farmer employed by Ed Monroe of Trego County, Kansas.  He declared his nearest relative was Mrs. E. A. Flenor of Gurnell.  He was recorded as short, medium build, brown eyes, dark brown hair.10
