Warren Albert Parker PARKER, Warren Albert - 90, Mount Denson, Hants Co., passed away Saturday, November 6, 2004 in Hants Community Hospital. Born in Ardoise, he was a son of the late Robert and Ella (Mariette) Parker.
Warren served with the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War, in Italy and Holland, where he met his first wife. Back home, he worked as a mechanic in the Gypsum Company in Windsor, and he also kept a small farm. Warren was a member of the United Baptist Church in Windsor, and most recently the Mount Denson Baptist Church.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his wife, the former Alice (Henshaw) Spencer; daughter, Joan (Philip Pain), Upham, N.B.; son, Daniel, Toronto, ON; grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Pain; step-children, Colleen Thorpe (Peter), Hantsport; Kimberly Banks (Edwin), Centreville, Kings Co., Eldon (Tracey) Spencer, Falmouth; step-grandchildren, Barbie and Jacqueline Thorpe, Matthew Spencer, and Brandon Banks; great-step-granddaughter, Molly; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Sytske (Dykstra); second wife, Gladys (Hunt); sisters, Elizabeth Robertson, Kathleen Armstrong; Dorothy Hanes; Helen Stewart, and Jean Conway; brothers, Harold, Stuart and Victor.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch #9, Windsor will hold their Legion Service at 7:00pm Monday, November 8, followed by visitation until 9:00pm in Lohnes Beazley Funeral Home, 419 Albert Street, Windsor. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 9, 2004 in Mount Denson Baptist Church, Carol Dimock, Lic. officiating, assisted by the Rev. Donald McClare. Interment in Mount Denson Cemetery, Mount Denson.
Donations in memory may be made to the Mount Denson Baptist Church.
