Edward A. Henshaw died Jan 20 1877, at sea.2,3 Edward Arthur's death was noted in "The Digby Courier" on Feb 16 1877:2
The schooner 'Mabel Lent', Captain Wyman, sailed from Trinidad for St. John, N.B. on the 13th ult. On the 20th Arthur Henshaw, while strapping the main boom, fell overboard, and being unable to swim, quickly sank. A boat was immediately lowered, but it was smashed alongside the vessel. Deceased was a very promising young man, aged about 19 years, and son of Mr. James Henshaw of Waldec Line Road, Annapolis County.
