HARRISBURG - VELVA MAY HENSHAW, 83, of Memphis, homemaker, died Wednesday at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis.  Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Farm Hill Cemetery in Harrisburg, Ark.  Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home has charge.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  Mrs. Henshaw, the widow of Jessie Glen Henshaw, leaves a son, Richard Henshaw of Memphis; three sisters, Lois Byrd of North Little Rock, Thelma Williams of Wynne, Ark., and Doris Scott of Little Rock; two brothers, Frank Ramsey of Chicago and L. V. Ramsey of Fort Smith, Ark., seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Richard Henshaw of Memphis; three sisters, Lois Byrd of North little Rock, Thelma Williams of Wynne and Doris Scott of Little Rock; two brothers, Frank Ramsey of Chicago and L.V. Ramsey of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Glen Henshaw, a son, a daughter and a brother.  

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Farm Hill Cemetery near Harrisburg under the direction of Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home.  

Grandson's will be pallbearers.  

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Velva May Henshaw, 83 of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Harrisburg, died Wednesday in Memphis.  She was born April 22, 1918 in Lonoke the daughter of Andrew Scott and Effie May (Lamons) Scott.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church near Harrisburg.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Glen Henshaw; a son, Jim Henshaw; a daughter, Peggy Funk; and a brother, Joe Ramsey.  

Survivors include three sisters, Lois Byrd of North Little Rock, Thelma Williams of Wynne and Doris Scott of Little Rock; two brothers, Frank Ramsey of Chicago, Ill. and L.V. Ramsey of Ft. Smith; one son, Richard Henshaw of Memphis, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  

Graveside services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the Farm Hill Cemetery near Harrisburg.  

Pallbearers are her grandsons.  

Friends may visit the funeral home Friday from 6-9 p.m.
