On Jun 5 1917 Clarence Irvin Henshaw, age 28, registered for the World War I draft in Lewistown, Fergus County, Montana. He declared he was born July 28 1889 in Alexandria, Indiana, and was then residing at 317 Idaho, Lewistown where he had a wife & four children and was employed as a baggage driver with M[..unclear..] Transfer of Lewistown. He claimed an exemption due to his dependent family. He was recorded as medium height, medium build, brown eyes, dark hair.7

He declared he was born "7 28 1889" in Fowlerton, Indiana, and was then residing in Liberty Township, Delaware County, Indiana, employed on the farm of Harry Phillips of Liberty Township. He declared his relative/contact was Joe Hinshaw of Alexandria, Indiana. He was recorded as 5'10" tall, 230 lbs., blue eyes, gray hair, light complexion, and "Leg and foot fracture".16
In 1955 Irvin was living in Zionsville, Indiana.12
He then married Irel Jeannette "Jenny" Wait25 [Irel Jeannette "Jenny" Farrell26], Apr - 196525, Pinellas County, Florida25. Irel was born Aug 10 1890.17,27 Irel had been previously married to William Henry Wait.28
