Solon's grandfather, Barclay Benbow (1788-) was a veteran of the War of 1812.5

Martha and Solon moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan,18 living at 421 Woodward, Avenue.12,13,14  they attended the Methodist Episcopal church.19

Martha B. Hinshaw died Jul 18 1917, buried Lot 2, Section 43, Grave 10, Mountain Home Cemetery, 1402 W Main St., Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Mighigan.3,8,20  

Solon remarried to an Alice C. --.13  

Solon was shown in the 1930 census (Apr 10 1930), 421 Woodward Avenue, Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan:13

Benbow, Alice C., wife, age 60, born in Indiana; father born in Ohio; mother born in Indiana; first married at age 17.

Solon died Mar 19 1942, age 88.20,21  

Solon's second wife, Alice C. -- (died Mar 1934),20,22 is buried in Grave 8, so Solon is buried between his two wives.20
