BOONVILLE Glen Richard Trivette, Sr. Feb. 20, 1927 - Jan. 30, 2013
Mr. Glen Richard Trivette, Sr., 85, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Yadkin Valley Community Hospital.  Mr. Trivette was born February 20, 1927 in Yadkin County to Terry and Ethel Frazier Trivette.  He was a member of Charity Baptist Church.  Mr. Trivette was a US Army Veteran, serving from June 1945 to March 1947 with the 9th Traffic Regulation Group, Transportation Corps, 3rd Army in Bayreuth Germany.  He received the EAME Campaign, WWII Victory, and Occupational Medals, as well as the Expert Infantry Badge.  Mr. Trivette graduated from Boonville High School in 1948 upon his return from service.  He was a retired farmer and carpenter.  Mr. Trivette was also a member of the Boonville Volunteer Fire Department and had served on the board of directors until recently.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a lifetime member of the NRA.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Trivette was preceded in death by a son, Glen Richard "Ricky" Trivette, Jr.; sisters, Percie Jester, Virginia Hainer, Lois Hobson, and infant sister, Dorothy Trivette; and two brothers, Allen and Ralph Trivette.  He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Hinshaw Trivette; a son, W. Neil Trivette; two grand-daughters; and several nieces and nephews.  A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Eddy Driver officiating.  Burial will follow at Charity Baptist Church cemetery with full military honors provided by Yadkin VFW Post 10346.  The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gentry Funeral Service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Charity Baptist Church cemetery fund, 1500 Charity Church Rd., Boonville, NC 27011, Boonville Volunteer Fire Dept., PO Box 57, Boonville, NC 27011 or to Mtn. Valley Hospice, PO Box 1267, Yadkinville, NC 27055.  Online condolences may be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Trivette family.
