On Jun 6 2013 Kathy and Gene celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, as reported in "The Pantagraph" (Bloomington, Illinois) on June 9, 2013:³

COOKSVILLE -- Gene and Kathy Kerber of rural Cooksville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.   Kerber and Kathryn Hinshaw were married June 6, 1953, at St. Mary’s Church, Bloomington.  Charlene Augspurger and Joe Raycraft were among their attendants.   They are the parents of Theresa and David (Geri), both of Bloomington; Dan (Mary), Arrowsmith; and Steve (Mary), Towanda.  They have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.   He is retired from General Electric and from farming.
