Nannie's obituary appeared on April 18, 1968 in the Winchester News Gazette:

NANNIE BLANSETT DIES; TAUGHT SS CLASS 35 YEARS MRS NANNIE HINSHAW BLANSETT, 85, WINCHESTER ROUTE 2, DIED AT 9 A.M. THURSDAY, APRIL 18, 1968, AT THE RANDOLPH COUNTY HOSPITAL.  SHE HAD BEEN SERIOUSLY ILL FOR THE PAST TEN DAYS.  HER HUSBAND NOLDO BLANSETT, DIED A WEEK AGO TODAY.   MRS. BLANSETT WAS BORN IN RANDOLPH COUNTY, DAUGHTER OF GREENBURY AND RACHEAL HINSHAW.  SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE RURAL FRIENDS MEETING AND HAD TAUGHT A SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS THERE MORE THAN 35 YEARS.  SHE AND HER HUSBAND HAD OBSERVED THEIR SIXTY-SIXTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY LAST FEBRUARY 5.   SURVIVORS INCLUDE THREE DAUGHTERS, MRS. A.W. [IDRIS] GLEBE OF DAYTON, O., MRS. GRACE MENDELSON OF RICHMOND AND MRS. CARL [WINIFRED] THOMPSON OF NEAR WINCHESTER; TWO GRANDCHILDREN, JACK MENDELSON OF TEMPE, ARIZ., AND JILL THOMPSON OF NEAR WINCHESTER, AND ONE GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTER, LAURA ANN MENDLESON OF TEMPE.  ONE SON, MARVIN, DIED IN 1934, AND 10 BROTHERS AND SISTERS PRECEDED HER IN DEATH.   SERVICES WILL BE ANNOUNCED FROM THE THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, LYNN.
