Mary (Sarah) emmigrated from England Mar 28 18576 (1860).3 She came to America because she had joined the LDS Church. She was the only member of her family who emmigrated at that time.5
She married Harmon Dudley Pierson, Jun 28 1859, Willard, Box Elder County, Utah.1,7 (Salt Lake City, Utah).8 Harmon, son of Daniel Pierson & Julia Ann Lester, was born Apr 25 1818, Killingworth, Connecticut.7 (Clinton, Middlesex County, Connecticut).8 (c1822).9 Mary and Harmon were both recorded as residents of Plymouth.1
Note: Mary was not Harmon's only wife - she was the third of at least three known wives Harmon had in a polygamous marriage.7,9
Note: this marriage in the "Western States Historical Marriage Records Index" (a marriage database hosted on several university systems) shows a marriage date of Nov 8 1887,10 but this was reportedly a remarriage necessary to comply with Utah law after polygamy was abolished.11
