He married Edith Louise Clark, about 1890.¹ Edith, daughter of John Hall Clark & Elizabeth Hemming, was born about 1868.¹

Freddie and Edith lived in Birmingham, England.¹ He became a sportswriter for the Birmingham Mail.¹ "He will be remembered for his Cricket and Football reporting".¹

Frederick H. Henshaw had an uncle of the same name, who was an artist. Some of his pictures are in the Art Gallery, in Birmingham.¹
