Born May 5 1885, Piedmont, Uinta County, Wyoming.2,6,7,8,9,10  

He married Vera Mae Archer6 [Vera May Archer9], Mar 18 19156, Farmington, Utah6.  Vera was born Apr 12 1892, Kansas.11  (Apr 29 1892).12  (c1896).2  

On Sep 12 1918 William Edwin Hinshaw, age 33, registered for the World War I draft in Uinta County, Wyoming.  He declared he was born May 5th 1885, and was then residing in Leroy, Uinta County, Wyoming, where he was a rancher.  He declared his nearest relative was Mrs. Vera Hinshaw of Leroy.  He was recorded as short, medium build, blue eyes, brown hair.8  

William and family were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 8 1920), Leray Township, Uinta County, Wyoming:3

Hinshaw, John T., son, age 2 years 11 months, born in Wyoming; father born in Wyoming; mother born in Kansas.
Hinshaw, Robert W., son, age ? months [unclear], born in Wyoming; father born in Wyoming; mother born in Kansas.
Living very close by in 1920 were Theodore & Maggie Archer,13 probably Vera's parents.14

Living next door in 1930 were Theodore T. & Margret Archer,15 probably Vera's parents.14  

William Edwin Hinshaw died Feb 11 1951, Ogden, Weber County, Utah; age 66.6,9,10  

William's obituary was published in "The Ogden Standard Examiner" (Ogden, Utah) on Tuesday evening, February 13, 19519 (see scan below).  

In 1968 Vera was living in/near Evanston, Uinta County, Wyoming.11  

Vera died Nov 22 1968, buried Evanston City Cemetery, Evanston, Uinta County, Wyoming.11,12
