John William Hinshaw died Mar 21 1952, at his home, Michigan City, LaPorte County, Indiana; age 78.25
John's obituary was published in the "Logansport Press" (Logansport, Indiana) on March 21, 1952:25
Monticello, March 20 - Final rites will be held Satruday at 2 o'clock at the Zion Bethel church for John W. Hinshaw, 78, White county resident most of his life. He died at his home in Michigan City at 1:30 this morning after a ten days illness.
Survivors are his wife, Pearl; a son, Lloyd, Michigan City; a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Hinshaw, White county.
A retired farmer, he lived seven miles nort of here until he and his wife went to Michigan City to live about 18 months ago.
The body, now at the Marvin Haas funeral home in Michigan City, will be brought to the Zion church Saturday morning. The Reverend Perry Scales will officiate and burial will be in the Hughes cemetery.
