On Jun 5 1917 William Franklin Beeson, age 24, registered for the World War I draft in New Market, Randolph County, North Carolina.  He declared he was born January 14 1893 in Randleman, North Carolina, and was then still residing in Randleman where he was married and a self-employed farmer.  He claimed an exemption due to being a "member friends church".  He was recorded as tall, slender, brown eyes, brown hair.7
