ARCHDALE - John Clark Hinshaw, 81, of 3815 Salisbury St., died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at his home.  

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Square Friends Meeting, where he was a charter member, with the Rev. Ben Hurley and the Rev. Winfred Crouse officiating.  Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.  

He was a native of Randolph County, a retired letter carrier after 24 years with the U.S. Postal Service, a World War II U.S. Army veteran, a former clerk of the monthly meeting at his church and a past member of Woodmen of the World.  

Surviving are wife, Mary Elizabeth Gray Hinshaw of the home; sons, Jan Gray Hinshaw Sr. of the home, Terry C. Hinshaw of Archdale; sister, Ancy Pearsall of High Point; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.  

The family will be at Sechrest Funeral Home, Archdale, 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday.  

Memorials may be made to Cedar Square Friends Building Fund, 7546 Harlow Road, Archdale, N.C. 27263.

Mary died Aug 10 2004, High Point Regional Hospital, High Point, Guilford County, North Carolina; buried Floral Garden Park Cemetery, High Point, North Carolina.8,10

ARCHDALE - Mary Elizabeth Gray Hinshaw, 88, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at High Point Regional Hospital.  

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Square Friends Meeting, where she was a member, with Ben Hurley and Eric Woods officiating.  Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery, High Point.  

She was a native of Guilford County and the widow of John Clark Hinshaw.  

Surviving are sons, Jan Gray Hinshaw Sr. and Terry C. Hinshaw, both of Archdale; brothers, Darrell Gray and Robert Gray, both of Archdale; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
