Hinshaw, age 25, registered for the World War I draft in Monticello, White County, Indiana.  He declared he was born May 20 1892 in [..unclear..] Indiana, and he was then residing in [..unclear..], Monticello, Indiana where he was married and a farmer.  He declared he had six years of military service as a private in the Indiana National Guard infantry.  He was recorded as short, medium build, gray eyes, light hair.2
