He married Margaret Archers² [Margaret Lois Anderson⁸], Jun 16 1956².  Margaret, daughter of Alfred "Boots" + Lucille Anderson, was born Jul 19 1932, Wahpeton, Richland County, North Dakota.^8,9,10

In 1956 Marge became the host of "At Home with Marge" on KVTV television, Sioux City, Iowa.¹²

Margaret Lois Hinshaw It is with great sorrow that we report the passing of our beloved mother, Margaret Lois Hinshaw.  She survived a heart attack but died from complications the following morning on December 5, 2014.  She was eighty-two.  Margaret was born in Wahpeton, North Dakota, July 19, 1932 to Alfred (Boots) and Lucille Anderson.  She was an only child.  She was raised in Mayville, North Dakota and graduated from North Dakota State University with a BS in Home Economics.  After graduating, she began a long and successful career in broadcasting, married, had three children and eventually moved to Seattle Washington, where she lived the rest of her life.  As a broadcaster, she was most well known as Marge, the weather girl for KOMO news, as well as other local advertising.  She was in the forefront of her generation when she went back to school for her MBA while successfully working in the insurance and pension business and raising her children.  Marge pursued her passion for dancing and opened the highly acclaimed Washington Dance Club with her daughter, Christa in 1987.  The WDC was a Seattle fixture for over 25 years.  She was semi-retired for some time but did not fully retire until 2008 at the age of 76.  She was a courageous, dedicated and loving single mom to her three children.  She is survived by her daughter Christa Quackenbush, son-in-law Jim, daughter Susan Hinshaw, son-in-law Jim Dedic, son John Hinshaw, daughter-in-law Lauri and grandson Adam.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Purrfect Pals 230 McRae Rd NE, Arlington, WA 9822 to support her love of feline friends.   A service and celebration of Marge's life will be held on January 24th at noon at the Nile Country Club, 6601 244th St SW, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043.   A dance in her honor will follow.
