Lola's sister, Dorthy Cahill, married Dick's brother Cotton.  

Lola died Nov 23 2014, at her home, Monticello, White County, Indiana; age 83.6

Lola R. Hinshaw (1931 - 2014)

Lola R. Hinshaw, 83, Monticello, passed away at 1:48 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at her home in her husband's arms.  

She was born on Nov. 10, 1931, in Indianapolis, to the late Simon and Alma (Thurston) Cahill.  On Oct. 29, 1950, at the old Zion Bethel Church in rural Monticello, she married William R. "Dick" Hinshaw; he survives, and they had just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.  

Lola had been in failing health for the last couple years.  

She had lived in the Monticello community most all of her life, and was a 1950 graduate of Monticello High School.  

Lola had worked at the old RCA Factory in Monticello for 22 years, working in personnel and running the family store in the factory.  She had also worked at the old Chesebrough Ponds and UniTech Office Supply, both of Monticello.  Lola loved to sew and embroider.  

She loved her family and enjoyed going to family events and watching her grandchildren in their sporting activities and other school functions.  

Lola was very supportive and active with her husband's conservation activities.  

Surviving are husband, William R. "Dick" Hinshaw, Monticello; children, Vicki All, Ruth (Jim) Ware, and Bill (Kathy) Hinshaw, all of Monticello, Kay (Mike) McLeland, Idaville, and Kim (Roger) Hancock, Monticello; grandchildren, Nathan Ware, Derek (Jen) Beaumont, Alyson Hancock, Lauren Hinshaw, and Will Hinshaw; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Liam, and Emily Beaumont; sister, Nancy MacRae, Cocoa, Fla.; and brother-in-law, Bob Hinshaw.  Lola was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Alma (Thurston) Cahill; sister, Dorthy Hinshaw; brothers-in-law, W. E. "Cotton" Hinshaw and Richard "Mac" MacRae; and son-in-law, Tom All.  

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello.  Celebration of Life Service will take place at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Chris Dodson of the Monticello Christian Church of Monticello officiating.  

Burial will follow at the Hughes Cemetery in rural Monticello.  

Memorials may be given to the Twin Lakes Students Food Pantry, C/O Food Finders or to the White County Historical Society.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
