Grace Cordelia (Hinshaw) Helm, 93, of Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ, went home to be with her Lord on November 14. She passed peacefully with her son John and her daughter-in-"love" Ginny by her side. Mrs. Helm was born on April 4, 1914 in Davidson County and was raised on Main Street in Lexington, NC. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1931. She also graduated from North Carolina College for Women (University of North Carolina). She was predeceased by her husband, John Volner Helm, in 1965; and her parents, Newton Addison Hinshaw and Cordelia Kennedy Hinshaw.
She lived at, and worked as registrar for America's Keswick Colony of Mercy, Whiting for 18 years before moving to Pt. Pleasant Beach to live with her son and his family in 1987. Mrs. Helm was a member of First Baptist Church, Pt. Pleasant Beach where she sang in the choir, was a member of the Missionary Society and served as Financial Secretary and church typist for 12 years. She will always be remembered for her unconditional love, her gentle "southern" ways, her endearing wit, her faithful service and her enduring faith in her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her son, Rev. John Helm, 708 McLean Ave, Pt. Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, 08742 and his wife Ginny, four grandchildren, Shirley Klaus, Sandra Rowe, Robin Price and John R. Helm; four great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Helm, Abigail Klaus, James Rowe, J.J. Helm; and a stepson R. Jennings Helm and his wife Jean of Greensboro, NC and four step-grandchildren, Roy Helm, Bill Helm, David Helm and Carolyn Nix.
A funeral service was held on November 19, at America's Keswick, Whiting, NJ, where she is buried on a hill overlooking the Colony of Mercy.

Grace H. Helm Point Pleasant Beach resident Grace H. Helm went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Claremont Care Center, Point Pleasant, where she received compassionate care. She passed peacefully with her son John and her daughter-in "love" Ginny by her side.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at The Pable-Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, [732-899-3300], where a vigil service will be held at 8 p.m.
On Monday, at 10 a.m., a funeral service will be held at America’s Keswick, Whiting, where relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Keswick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made, in her memory, to either the First Baptist Church, 708 McLean Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, 08742 or America’s Keswick, 601 Route 530, Whiting, 08759.
