LIBERTY - Elmer D. Hinshaw, 78, formerly of 10704D N.C. 49 South, died Monday, June 28, 1999, at Moses Cone Extended Care Facility, Greensboro.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Howard Spray officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Alamance County, a member of the Men's Sunday School class at his church and previously owned and operated cattle, poultry, grain and forage crop farms in Randolph, Chatham and Alamance counties.
The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home, Liberty, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, other times at the home of Ruby Hinshaw, 2502 Fairway Drive, Greensboro.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Christian Church, 1707 Pleasant Hill-Liberty Road, Liberty, N.C. 27298.

Mr. Elmer D. Hinshaw LIBERTY - Mr. Elmer D. Hinshaw, 78, formerly of 10704-D N.C. 49 South, died Monday evening, June 28, 1999, at Moses Cone Extended Care Facility in Greensboro.
Born March 13, 1921, in Alamance County, he was the son of Mr. John B. Hinshaw and Mrs. Willie Andrews Hinshaw, both deceased. He was a lifelong resident of Alamance County. He was an active member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church until his illness. He was a member of the Men's Sunday School Class. He previously owned and operated cattle, grain and forage crop farms in Randolph and Chatham Counties, in addition to his beef cattle and poultry farm in Alamance County.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. J. Nolon Hinshaw.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pleasant Hill Christian Church by the Rev. Howard Spray. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home of the sister, 2502 Fairway Drive, Greensboro. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Christian Church, 1707 Pleasant Hill-Liberty Road, Liberty, N.C. 27298.
