He married Mary Elizabeth Evans, Aug 20 1931, 521 River St., Aberdeen, Grays Harbor County, Washington.3,4,7,8  Mary, daughter of George Evans & Elva Coyle, was born Oct 15 1912, Mosier, Wasco County, Oregon.1,4,8,9,10  (Oct 1 1912).7  

Mary was the sister of Walter Evans who married Marion's sister Lucy.3

Henshaw, Marion, head-of-household, age 30, born in Idaho; completed 8th grade; on Apr 1 1935 was living in The Dalles, Hood River County, Oregon; rented home ($5/month rent); occupation: section laborer, steam railway; worked 52 weeks in 1939; $1092 wages in 1939.

Mary Elizabeth Henshaw

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, in Hillsview Community Church in Gresham for Mary Elizabeth Henshaw, who died Sept. 1 at age 91.  

Mary Evans was born Oct. 1, 1912, in Mosier.  She was a fruit sorter for the Apple Growers Association in Hood River before moving in 1960 to Portland, where she was a homemaker.  In 1931, she married Marion; he died in 1971 [sic].  

Survivors include her son, Robert A.; daughter, Yuvonne N. Dart; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mary Henshaw

Mary Elizabeth Henshaw, a resident of Gresham, died on Sept. 1, 2004, in Corbett.  She was 91 years of age.  Mary was born on Oct. 15, 1912, in Mosier, Ore., to George and Elva Evans.  She was raised and educated in Mosier and it was there that she attended and graduated from high school in 1930.  On Aug. 20, 1931, she married Marion Henshaw in Aberdeen, Wash.  

He preceded her in death in 1971.  They moved to John Day where they resided for a year before moving to Hood River in 1944.  Mary worked in the Hood River fruit packing house for the Apple Growers Association for 15 years and later worked as a homemaker caring for her family.  In 1960 she moved to Portland, Ore., and in 1998 she moved to Gresham, where she resided until her death.  Mary was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.  

Mary is survived by her son, Robert A. Henshaw of Corbett, and daughter, Yuvonne N. Dart of Corbett, along with six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  Besides her husband Marion, her siblings Lloyd, Oradell, Florence, Flora, Leonard, Alvy, Alvon, and Walter all preceded her in death.  

A memorial service was held Sept. 6 at Hillsview Community Church in Gresham.  Private entombment will be at Riverview Abbey in Portland.  Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel, Gresham, handled arrangements.
