Josephus Henshaw was shown in the 1850 census, Jerusalem, Yates County, New York.²

Josephus Henshaw and his brother Martin were both listed in a Jul 1 1863 "Enrollment List of Persons Subject to Military Duty", Jerusalem, Yates County, New York.³ Josephus was also listed in Robert H. Graham's "Boys in Blue".⁴

Josephus Hanshaw was again shown in the 1865 state census, Jerusalem, Yates County, New York.⁵
