He declared his nearest relative was Mary Jane Brown of Winchester. He was recorded as tall, medium build, gray eyes, brown hair, and "fore finger on left hand" [sic].7 On the same day son Glen Franklin Brown, age 19, also registered for the World War I draft in Randolph County, Indiana. He declared he was born February 25 1899, and was then residing in/near Winchester, Randolph County, Indiana where he was a farmer employed by Thomas M. Brown of Winchester. He declared his nearest relative was Mary Jane Brown of Winchester. He was recorded as short, slender, blue eyes, brown hair.7
